The ON/OFF Switch could be the problem
Your desktop computer suddenly couldn't start. You open the casing and find that the processor fan can't rotate, the indicator LED also dead. The most common is the power supply problem. However, it didn't happen to me last week. I tried hard to find the problem even changed the power supply but nothing worked. I persistently thought that the problem come from electricity not from the motherboard. After several unused efforts I finally found that the problem was the cable connection inside the connector which connect the ON/OFF switch from the casing into the mother board was loose (see pictures). Only need to tighten the connection and finally all worked well. You can see it was an embarrassing moment but at least I can share with you that this kind of condition can really happen.
